The Distribution and Organisation of Château La Grâce Fonrazade
The vineyards of Château La Grâce Fonrazade are uniquely organised and meticulously distributed across the commune of Saint-Émilion. Each parcel benefits from distinct terroirs, enabling the estate to make the most of each vintage through carefully optimised blending.
A strategic and optimised approach
The estate uses a strategic vision to maximise the benefits of each terroir and grape variety in the production of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru:
- Saint-Émilion terroirs: The plots encompass fine gravel, sandy-clay and chalky-clay soils, each of which has a particular influence on the wine.
- Well-balanced grape varieties: Merlot Noir makes up 70% of the grape varieties, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, giving optimum expression to the terroir.
The privileged geographical location of the plots around the village of Saint-Émilion, close to numerous Grands Crus Classés, lends remarkable complexity and quality to the wines produced.
Oenological expertise and respectful production
This harmonious combination of exceptional terroirs and oenological expertise enables Château La Grâce Fonrazade to create wines that capture the essence of Saint-Émilion, while expressing the unique character of each vintage.
